Statuary Designs

Statuary Designs is a Kansas City leather goods company owned and operated by artist Paige Hinshaw. Inspired by a passion for quality materials, sensitivity to detail and love of craftsmanship, Paige designs each item to be practical and unique; building on tradition while looking to the future. Inspired by renaissance sculpture, Norse and Wiccan symbols and contemporary design, the identity for Statuary is flexible and puts focus on the product. We developed a set of logo marks, an icon stamp set and various additional logo lockups for use on tags and promotional materials.

Process & Iteration

Color Palette

Utilizing a neutral color palette of black and white allows the color of the marbled leather for a season or line to be the true focal point. Black and white also offer opportunities for branding leather with a stamp using white on darker colors and black on lighter colors.

Graphic Elements

The graphic elements are utilized as a set or alone with one of the logo lockups in accent moments or as stamps. the elements include adapted glyphs from the Mrs. Eaves typeface as well the S from the logotype.

Bust Logo Mark

The primary logo mark is the female statue bust.
